Randall Matignon is a clinical system manager
at Amgen, Inc. in South San Francisco, California. He is a SAS/Microsoft
Office VBA programmer. For the last ten years, he has been working in
the clinical industry. He has over twenty years of experience as a statistical
programmer and applications developer in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and biotechnology
industries with a broad knowledge of several programming languages, including SASŪ,
Java, S-PlusŪ, and PL-SQL. He received his Masters degree in Statistics
at Hayward State University.
It took him five years to write both "Data Mining Using SAS Enterprise Miner" and "Neural Network Modeling using SAS Enterprise Miner". He was first motivated in writing both books since there weren't any user guides that were available for SAS Enterprise Miner. He was first introduced to SAS Enterprise Miner when he attended a machine learning class at Hayward State University. The first book he wrote was "Neural Network Modeling using SAS Enterprise Miner" that was published by AuthorHouse in August, 2005. This was followed by "Data Mining Using SAS Enterprise Miner" that was published by John Wiley & Sons in August, 2007. |
